A new ski resort "Mamison" has appeared in the Caucasus

A new ski resort "Mamison" has opened in the Caucasus in North Ossetia. Izvestia reported on the modern location for winter holidays on March 15.
Mamison is located 100 km from Vladikavkaz, the way to it passes through the picturesque Mamison gorge. The resort was built in two years as part of the national Tourism and Hospitality project. The state has already invested more than 18 billion rubles in Mamison, and private investors should give another 16 billion.
Shops, SPA centers, cafes and restaurants are being actively built on the territory of the resort. It is expected that upon completion of construction in five years, Mamison will have more than 40 km of trails, 3 thousand accommodation facilities and 2.5 thousand jobs. Experts estimate the prospective attendance of this place at 500 thousand people per year.
"The track is great! [Georgian ski resort] Gudauri, bye. Georgia, of course, is fun, but I'm glad that now we don't have to go there," said tourist Tatiana Makhno.
The resort plans to operate all year round — in summer it will be possible to go hiking along the picturesque mountain routes.
Earlier, on February 1, it became known from the data of the OneTwoTrip travel planning service that Russians began to visit ski resorts in the Russian Federation twice as often as in 2024. Krasnaya Polyana is the leader among popular locations.
