Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva beat Polish athlete, world number two Iga Schwentek, thereby securing a place in the finals of the WTA-1000 tournament in Indian Wells, USA.

The game took place on the night of March 14-15 and ended with a score 7:6, 1:6, 6:3. After this victory, the score in the athletes' personal confrontations became 2:1 in favor of Andreeva. In the next match, she will face Belarusian athlete Arina Sobolenko.

The press service of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) noted that the Russian, having won the 11th consecutive game, became the youngest finalist in Indiana Wells since 2001. In addition, Andreeva gets a chance to become the first minor champion in the history of the tournament.

"I just hit the ball with all my might. My serve was great, and, you know, I felt very comfortable and confident," Andreeva said after the match.

Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva reached the quarterfinals of the Indian Wells Women's Tennis Association tournament on March 11, beating Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan. The match ended with a score of 6:1, 6:2 in favor of Andreeva, who had the ninth seeding in the tournament.
