Following a final vote on March 14, the US Senate approved a bill to finance the work of the US government until September 30.

According to the Reuters news agency, 54 out of 100 senators supported the document. A simple majority of votes was required for approval.

Now the bill will go to the American leader Donald Trump. After the signing by the President of the United States, government funding will be provided until September 30, 2025, which will avoid the suspension of the work of the federal agency ("shutdown").

The agency clarifies that 62 senators supported the bill in the preliminary vote, 10 of whom were representatives of the Democratic Party. As a result, the document was sent for final approval.

Pavel Feldman, PhD in Political Science, professor at the Academy of Labor and Social Relations, noted on March 14 that representatives of the US Democratic Party were jeopardizing the work of the federal government by not agreeing on a bill on its financing. According to him, they want to "frame the administration of Republican President Trump." The day before, the American leader had pointed out the risk of government shutdown, stressing that the responsibility for this would fall on the Democratic Party. However, he expressed the hope that the Democrats would still support the bill.
