An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 was recorded off the coast of Italy

An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 occurred in Italy. This was announced on March 14 at the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV).

It is specified that the seismic event was recorded off the coast of San Nicandro Gargarinco, approximately 13 km from the commune of Lezina in Foggia province, which is home to 6.4 thousand people.

The tremor occurred at 20:37 local time (22:37 Moscow time). After it, experts noticed seven more earthquakes ranging in magnitude from 2.0 to 3.8 in approximately the same area.

The day before, it was reported that an earthquake of magnitude 5.0 was recorded off the coast of Taiwan. According to the center, the seismic event began at 13:09 local time (08.09 Moscow time).
