On March 15, the Russian Defense Ministry told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

The ministry noted the merits of Guard Lieutenant Sergei Kolbeev, who carried out the combat mission of destroying enemy equipment and manpower and conducting counter-battery warfare in an important sector of the front, while commanding an artillery battery.

Russian attack aircraft managed to occupy fortified positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), but the enemy, unwilling to give up their positions, requested support and launched a counterattack. Kolbeev received the exact coordinates of the Ukrainian militants from intelligence, who were ready to provide support to the distressed soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and, having calculated the coordinates, opened fire on them.

Thanks to the precise actions of the lieutenant's guard, the gunners managed to hit the main part of the armored vehicles and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while preventing a possible counterattack.

The Russian Defense Ministry also drew attention to the actions of Guard Sergeant Alexander Perezhogin, who, while at the observation post, performed a combat mission to visually monitor the air situation in the area of the howitzer artillery battery control center.

The sergeant of the Guards was the first to notice an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was approaching the positions of Russian units. Perezhogin reported on the drone and was given the task of destroying it. After that, he opened fire on the drone with a standard weapon and destroyed it with an accurate shot.

The drone crashed in an unguarded area, without harming the positions of the Russian military. Thanks to Perezhogin's confident actions, it was possible to keep the positions of the Russian Armed Forces intact and avoid personnel losses.
