A man who attacked a subway employee was detained in Moscow. This was announced on March 14 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk.

"The attacker took an object similar to a knife out of his pocket and began waving it in front of the security service inspector, expressing threats to life and health," the representative clarified in her Telegram channel.

The witnesses tried to calm the violator and called the police. The patrol officers who arrived at the scene detained the suspect. He turned out to be a 41-year-old resident of the capital. The weapon of the crime has been sent for examination.

The victim was taken to the hospital, there is no threat to his life. A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under Articles 116 ("Beatings") and 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Threat of murder"), and a preventive measure has been imposed on him in the form of a written undertaking not to leave. In addition, an administrative report was drawn up against him and his friend for appearing in a public place under the influence of alcohol.

On March 4, police in Balashikha, Moscow region, detained a woman suspected of attacking her son, born in 1996, with a knife. A criminal case has been opened under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional infliction of serious harm to health"). The woman was detained.
