Two heavy trucks collided in the Nizhny Novgorod region, resulting in the death of a man, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region reported on March 14 in the Telegram channel.

It is specified that the accident occurred near the village of Pyra on the highway M-7 Moscow – Kazan.

Seven specialists and two pieces of equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in the work to extract the body of the deceased and disconnect the batteries, the statement said.

The department urged to be careful on the roads and observe the speed limit.

On the same day, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Russian Interior Ministry told Izvestia that 246 road accidents had occurred on Russian roads over the past day, killing 28 people and injuring 287 others. 21 of the victims were passengers and drivers of vehicles.
