There are "windows" on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border, through which cooperation between the two countries continues, despite the fact that the border is maximally protected. This was announced by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on March 14.

As the head of state noted, the entire border is already so mined and barricaded that "neither a rooster nor a hen" will pass through its territory.

"I know that, but much more. <...> There are windows on this barricaded border through which we cooperate with Ukrainians. We, the Russians, and they (the Ukrainian side. — Ed.) with us," Lukashenko said in an interview for the Rossiya-1 TV channel.

According to him, Ukraine is exchanging wounded near Gomel, and not through Poland and Belovezhskaya Pushcha.

"They are no longer afraid that Russia is nearby. The border is alive and well. And more and more Ukrainians and Russians are working through us, through Belarus. We are contributing to this," the Belarusian leader said.

Also that day, in an interview with Russian journalist Olga Skabeeva, Lukashenko said that Russian leader Vladimir Putin had received a call from Ukraine. At the same time, he added that this information will not be available to the public until it is made public by the Russian leader.

Prior to that, on March 13, following talks with Lukashenko, Putin said he agreed with the proposal to end hostilities in Ukraine. However, he also asked how these 30 days would be used to continue the forced mobilization in Ukraine or to supply weapons. In addition, the President of the Russian Federation asked how control and verification will be organized and what guarantees are there that such processes will not continue.
