Russia welcomes the completion of the draft peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan

Russia welcomes the completion of negotiations on the text of the draft agreement on peace and the establishment of interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This was stated on March 14 in a statement by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
Agreeing on the text is an important step towards achieving full-fledged and comprehensive Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization, in accordance with the trilateral agreements reached by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia in 2020-2022, the ministry said.
"We aim to provide every possible assistance to further advance the peace process and resolve the remaining issues between Baku and Yerevan, including those necessary to sign a peace agreement," the text on the Russian Foreign Ministry's website says.
In addition, Moscow confirmed its offer to provide its own platform for contacts between representatives of the two countries, as well as the signing of a peace treaty.
On March 14, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, announced the approval of a draft peace agreement with Azerbaijan. In addition, Putin and Pashinyan discussed other issues related to regional and bilateral relations between Moscow and Yerevan.
The day before, Azerbaijan and Armenia had completed negotiations on agreeing on the text of the peace agreement. According to Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Yerevan has accepted proposals regarding the last two uncoordinated points of the agreement.
