- The Ministry of Internal Affairs warned about fraudulent mailings with headlines about the end of its

Scammers are sending out phishing links in the Telegram messenger with loud headlines stating that the special military operation in Ukraine will allegedly end in 2025. On March 14, the Department for the Organization of the Fight against the Illegal Use of Information and Communication Technologies (UBK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia) warned about this.
"The attackers are parasitizing socially significant topics, writing big words, but the ultimate goal is to steal money," the department's Telegram channel says.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs published an example of such a fraudulent message: in a screenshot from Telegram, the headline "They are blatantly lying to you when they say that their military service will end in 2025" is crossed out in red and marked as "phishing".
The agency also warned about the need to check the source of information before wasting time on another "sensation."
Earlier, on March 13, the Interior Ministry reported that fraudsters were sending Telegram messages about the death of friends containing dangerous files. The newsletter contains APK files that initiate the installation of malicious software.
On the same day, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, said that providing their accounts for use by fraudsters makes a person an accomplice to crimes. According to her, such offers often come to underage children through chat rooms in online games.
