Mark Carney is sworn in as the 24th Prime Minister of Canada.

Former Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney has been officially sworn in as the country's prime minister. This was announced on March 14 on the website of the Canadian Prime Minister.
The new ministerial team is set up to take immediate action, protect Canadian workers, support families, and develop the country, Carney said.
"We are changing the way things work so that our government can fulfill its obligations to Canadians faster — and we have an experienced team that is ready to meet the moment in which we find ourselves," the Canadian prime minister said.
It is noted that Carney plans to take measures to unite Canadians and protect the country's sovereignty in the face of US trade actions.
Earlier, on March 13, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the completion of his work in this position. Trudeau added that he is proud of his service to Canada and its citizens.
