A criminal case on hooliganism was opened after the shooting at a kindergarten in New Moscow. This was announced on March 14 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk.

"My colleagues from the investigative department of the OMVD of Russia "Kommunarsky" in Moscow have opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, on the fact of hooliganism in the village of Kommunarka," she wrote in her Telegram channel.
