The Ministry of Justice has added writer Bossart and political scientist Obukhov to the register of foreign agents.

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation has updated the register of foreign agents, including the writer Alla Bossart and the political scientist German Obukhov, as well as the author of the podcast "The Decline of Empire" Andrei Aksenov. The list appeared on March 14 on the agency's website.

"In accordance with the orders of the Russian Ministry of Justice, A.N. Aksyonov, A.B. Bossart, and G.V. Obukhov have been included in the register of foreign agents," the report says.

It was established that all of these individuals distributed materials from people who had already been recognized as foreign agents, as well as replicated fakes about the decisions of the Russian authorities. They also opposed conducting a special military operation in Ukraine.

It is specified that Obukhov, who is the head of a foreign foundation, currently resides outside the Russian Federation.

Prior to that, on March 7, the Russian Ministry of Justice added former KGB officer Sergei Zhirnov, blogger Nikolai Levshits and three other people to the register of foreign agents. In addition to Zhirnov and Levshits, journalist Vasily Gatov, political scientist Inal Hashig and politician Anton Klimov have been added to the list.
