The average salaries of car electricians and car mechanics in Russia are named

This winter in Russia, car business workers began to be required 2.9 times (by 189%) more often than in the same period a year earlier, and the average salary offers in the industry increased by 13% and reached 104.1 thousand rubles per month. This was reported to Izvestia on March 17 by Avito Jobs experts, who studied the dynamics of demand for specialists and vacancies.
The most sought—after profession in the automotive business turned out to be car electricians - the number of vacancies for them increased 2.6 times (+157%). They also had the highest increase in the average salaries offered. Over the past year, the amounts indicated in vacancies have increased by 74% and reached 177 thousand rubles/month. The dynamic growth is associated with the increasing complexity of automotive electronics, including the proliferation of electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles, which requires a high level of expertise, experts explained.
Carpenters also proved to be in demand: the number of vacancies for them has increased 2.3 times since the winter of 2023/24 (+125%). Car body tanners are engaged in the restoration of car bodies after damage: they carry out straightening and replacement of parts, restoration of body geometry, as well as preparation for painting. For this work, companies offer new employees an average of about 111.6 thousand rubles/month (+14% per year). The demand for car accessories increased by 78%. The average salary offered in this profession has reached 123.2 thousand rubles/month, which is 20% more than a year ago.
Among the specialists with the fastest growing salary offers, auto electricians, auto mechanics and car washers are in the lead. Compared to the previous winter, applicants for auto mechanics jobs increased their salary offers by 32% (to an average of 122.9 thousand rubles/month). Also, the salaries offered by car washers increased by 26%, who could count on an average of 74.6 thousand rubles/month.
"The growing demand for specialists in the automotive business is a natural trend related to the development of technology, the expansion of the new car market and the complexity of their maintenance. In this regard, companies are in search of qualified personnel: modern machines are becoming more technologically advanced, requiring new knowledge and skills from specialists," said Andrey Kucherenkov, Director of the Working and Linear Professions category at Avito Rabota.
On March 14, it was reported that in February 2025, the average price of a new car remained virtually unchanged at 2.98 million rubles. During the year, interest in new cars increased by 24.7%, and the number of cars on sale increased by 45.5%.
March 10, Director of Development and Sales of Avto.<url> Business Daniil Shkurygin explained that one of the main reasons for the decline in new car sales in Russia this winter was the high interest rates on loans. In addition, banks have new responsibilities to create reserves in case of possible risks associated with non-fulfillment of loan obligations by borrowers.
