The average price of a new car in Russia has been named


In February 2025, the average price of a new car remained virtually unchanged at 2.98 million rubles. During the year, interest in new cars increased by 24.7%, and the number of cars on sale increased by 45.5%. This was reported to Izvestia on March 14 by Avito Auto experts, who analyzed the interest of users of the platform and the volume of offers.
In the last winter month, users were most interested in new Lada cars: its share was 22.7%. Behind her in the ranking are Chinese brands: Haval (10%), Chery (8.5%), Geely (5.4%) and Changan (4.8%).
Among the models, users of the platform were most interested in Lada Granta (8.3%). It is followed by Lada Vesta (5.3%), Haval Jolion (3.5%) and Moskvich 3 (2.4%), as well as Omoda C5 (2.3%). Compared to February of last year, the popularity of Moskvich 3 has increased most noticeably — by 2.8 times.
Lada is also the leader in terms of the number of ads (14.5%), followed by Chery, Geely, Haval and Changan. The leader in terms of the share in the offer was the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max model (4.9%), followed by Lada Granta and Omoda C5. The leader in supply dynamics, Lada Vesta Cross, showed a 3.5-fold increase.
The day before, it was reported that in February 2025, prices for used cars from car dealers in Russia increased by 8% compared to January. The average price for a used car reached 2.12 million rubles.
March 10, Director of Development and Sales of Avto.<url> Business Daniil Shkurygin explained that one of the main reasons for the decline in new car sales in Russia this winter was the high interest rates on loans. In addition, banks have new responsibilities to create reserves in case of possible risks associated with non-fulfillment of loan obligations by borrowers.
