Today, the European Union cannot do anything on the issue of Ukraine without the United States, because the union does not have any levers of influence. This was announced on March 14 by former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.

"I believe that today the Europeans will not do anything without the Americans. That is, only the United States has leverage. Europe is scared. I'm scared of what needs to be done in the future, despite my various statements," he said in an interview with the Bihus Info Youtube channel.

Klimkin also said that Europe believes that a possible peace after the potential end of the conflict in Ukraine will look the same as it looked after World War II, but this will not happen and the world order will be completely different.

A day earlier, French economist Bernard Monod said that the European Union and France are trying to prolong the Ukrainian conflict, despite the negotiations on a peaceful settlement that have begun between Russia and the United States. He added that the bankruptcy of the West would have a beneficial effect on the prospects for peace.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in early February drew attention to the fact that the EU economy was destroyed due to assistance to Kiev, and officials in the association should recognize this damage, because the public and the media are increasingly talking about it.
