The media reported on the lifting of sanctions against four Russians


The European Union (EU) has lifted sanctions against four Russians. This was reported by Barron's magazine on March 14.
According to the publication, we are talking about the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Mikhail Degtyarev, businessmen Vyacheslav Kantor and Vladimir Rashevsky, the sister of the oligarch Alisher Usmanov.
Earlier that day, the EU member states decided to extend sanctions against over 2,400 individuals and legal entities due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
On February 24, the foreign ministers of the EU countries approved the 16th package of sanctions against Russia. The list includes 48 individuals and 35 organizations. Access to the SWIFT system was also blocked for 13 banks. In addition, restrictions are being imposed on the import of chromium, certain chemicals, and the maintenance of oil and gas processing plants.
