Since March 12, 209 people, including nine children, have been evacuated from the liberated settlements of the Kursk region. This was announced on March 14 by the acting head of the region, Alexander Khinshtein.
"There are nine children among them. 68 people were taken out of Sudzha, 74 from Kazachyaya Loknya, and some more people were evacuated from Makhnovka, Martynovka, Nizhnemakhovo, Goncharovka, Guevo, and other villages," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Khinstein added that 128 people are currently in temporary accommodation facilities. All evacuees were provided with the necessary things: humanitarian kits, food, sleeping places, as well as medical, psychological and legal assistance.
On March 13, Yuri Mezinov, assistant to the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, reported that about 100 residents of the border areas of the Kursk region, who were considered missing, had been found in the city of Sudzha and in nearby villages. He clarified that 90% of the evacuees are people from the missing persons lists.
