A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. You can track the progress of the joint forces of Russia, the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), as well as view a map of military operations for the week from March 8 to March 14 in the Izvestia material.

The Russian Armed Forces carried out 15 group strikes with precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles, as a result of which gas and energy infrastructure facilities supporting the work of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, as well as facilities of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, were hit.

"During the week, air defense systems shot down a MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force, 27 US—made JDAM guided aerial bombs, and two Neptune long-range guided missiles," the Defense Ministry added.

The military also shot down 17 HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, a Vampire multiple rocket launcher, as well as 1,135 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

In addition, 29 settlements in the Kursk region, including Sudzha, were liberated during the week.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 657 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 46,606 unmanned aerial vehicles, 601 anti-aircraft missile systems, 22,274 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,526 multiple rocket launchers, 22,570 field artillery and mortars, and 32,874 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
