Kovalchuk spoke about the work on providing military technical means of rehabilitation

Boris Kovalchuk, Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of Russia, said on March 14 that the work on organizing the provision of technical rehabilitation facilities for participants in a special military operation had been done efficiently.

He noted that at the beginning of 2024, more than 9 thousand people were registered with the Social Fund, of which about 7-7.5 thousand needed technical rehabilitation equipment such as strollers, prostheses, canes and crutches.

"Over the period of 2022, more than 4-4.5 thousand people were provided with appropriate technical means of rehabilitation. In general, the work is well—organized," Kovalchuk emphasized.

Despite the positive results, the Chairman of the Accounts Chamber pointed out a number of problems, including delays in the provision of technical rehabilitation facilities, which could reach six months. In some cases, by the time they received the TCP, there were no medical indications for their use, he said.

"When one or another member of the SVO, who was injured, independently acquired TSR, there were questions about delays in compensation of money. After the introduction of electronic certificates, there were situations when there were not enough funds on an electronic certificate sufficient to purchase one or another technical means of rehabilitation," Kovalchuk said.

He stressed the importance of resolving these issues and said that the Accounting Chamber will continue to analyze the situation during the audit of budget execution in order to assess changes and improvements in this area.

On January 30, it was reported that the participants of the SVO were given the right to receive TSR in an undeclared manner. At the same time, they can still refuse the electronic certificate and receive the necessary funds from the Social Fund department. You can also buy them yourself and receive compensation.
