The Creative Business Forum has been renamed the Creative Industries Forum.

Due to the entry into force of the law on the Development of Creative Industries on February 5, 2025, the organizer of the Roscongress Foundation's Social Platform for Creative Business, the Innosocium Foundation, has decided to rename it the Creative Industries Forum.
The new law, which aims to involve citizens in creative activities, their self-realization and the development of intellectual property, has given creative industries the official status of a separate sector of the economy. The focus is on intellectual property, the promotion of a creative product with uniqueness and economic value in domestic and foreign markets, the role of regions and private investment.
The renaming of FCB reflects an important stage in the development of this platform. In 2021-2024, more than 200 sessions were held at Russia's leading economic forum venues as part of the FCB program with the participation of over 600 leading global and Russian experts, which resulted in the formation of regional and departmental solutions to support creative industries, co–production agreements, initiatives for inclusion in new national projects and plans for the implementation of a regional standard for the development of creative industries. in the subjects of the Russian Federation.
Over the years, the Forum has established itself as a sought-after dialogue platform that sets trends in the development of creative industries. It brought together federal and regional authorities, the business community and development institutions to create an ecosystem for the development of creative industries, measures to increase the share of the "creative" sector in Russian GDP and increase export potential.
The forum's format – panel discussions with experts and successful entrepreneurs, workshops and lectures - provides participants with the opportunity to gain practical knowledge necessary to establish contacts and create new partnerships, develops cooperation with large businesses, and improves interaction with government authorities.
"The Russian President noted the importance of opening up opportunities for private initiative in new and emerging sectors of the economy, especially in the creative industries. The new law is aimed at achieving this goal. The Creative Business Forum has proven its effectiveness as a universal platform for the development of creative industries in Russia and has contributed to their integration into the economy and increased their competitiveness. The renaming reflects the Forum's commitment to meet modern challenges and opportunities in the creative economy, while remaining the main platform shaping the country's industry agenda. The development of the Forum will become a reference platform for examining innovations in the field of regulatory regulation of the creative economy, increasing exports of creative industries to the markets of the CIS, EAEU, SCO, and BRICS countries. Improving the format of the event demonstrates a modern approach and increased responsibility for shaping an effective vector for the development of creative entrepreneurship in the country," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.
"The synergy of the new law and the evolving Creative Industries Forum creates favorable conditions for the intensive development of the creative economy in Russia. This is not only the creation of new jobs, but also the formation of a modern, competitive and innovative economy capable of occupying a leading position in the global market. The Forum is becoming the basis for a long–term platform for the development of creative industries in our country," said Denis Kravchenko, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
"The renaming of the Forum reflects the expansion of the concept of the current platform with a focus on a wider range of creative industries, including new areas such as digital technology, media and others. The new format will make it possible to more effectively support start–ups, improve educational initiatives, intersectoral cooperation, and develop an economy of meanings, the core of which is intellectual and creative human activity," said Elena Marinina, Deputy Director of the Roscongress Foundation and Chairman of the Board of the Innosocium Foundation.
