President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will pay an official visit to Moscow on March 15-17. This was reported on March 14 in the Kremlin's Telegram channel.
"On March 17, [the Russian leader's] talks will take place in Moscow Vladimir Putin with President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who is coming to Russia on an official visit," the message says.
During the meeting, the heads of state will discuss the prospects for further development of the strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Tajikistan, paying special attention to trade, investment and humanitarian cooperation. An exchange of views on topical regional issues is also planned.
In addition, several bilateral documents will be signed as a result of the visit.
It is noted that Putin and Rahmon will take part in the ceremony of the start of construction of the International Educational Center for Gifted Children and the V. Mayakovsky State Russian Drama Theater in Dushanbe in a videoconference format.
On February 24, Putin held a telephone conversation with his Tajik counterpart and discussed cooperation in trade, economy, culture and security. The leaders expressed satisfaction with the high level of strategic partnership and alliance between Moscow and Dushanbe, and agreed to continue personal contacts.
