The number of sirens in the Kurgan region will double

The Kurgan region will double the number of sirens for warning of fire and flood threats. This was stated by the first deputy director of the Department of Civil Protection, Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Anatoly Tarasenko.

"More than 500 million rubles have been allocated for the installation of acoustic warning systems for settlements," the official said at a meeting of the Regional Duma committee on Agrarian Policy and Natural Resources on Friday, March 14.

Sirens will appear in 670 settlements of the region by the end of the current 2025. According to the <url> news agency, last year the complexes were installed in 370 locations.

Earlier in March, it was reported that preparations for the fire season had begun in the Kurgan region. A special fire protection regime will be introduced in the region in April.
