Mishustin urged to rely on Russian products in the aviation industry

Russian aircraft should provide passengers with a safe flight, as well as be in demand in the world. This was announced on March 14 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting with Vadim Badekha, CEO of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).
"Air transportation should rely on Russian products. In your enterprises, the most important role is in building the entire line of aircraft. It is necessary, first of all, to focus on flight safety, on the safety of people," Mishustin said.
He noted that it is also necessary to focus on the reliability and quality of equipment so that these aircraft can be in demand not only in Russia.
Badeha, in turn, said that the country has all the competencies in the field of aircraft construction, and the Russian Federation is the only one in the world that produces materials for this on its territory.
"Our equipment is competitive and modern. If we talk about combat aviation, then you know perfectly well that our aircraft remain the best in the world. This proves the current growing demand in the international market for military-technical cooperation," Badeha said.
On January 30, Sergey Chernyshev, Scientific director of the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said that a supersonic technology demonstrator aircraft was being created in Russia. He specified that a civilian supersonic aircraft will fly at a cruising speed corresponding to Mach 1.8, which at an altitude of 14-16 km will be about 2,200 km/h.
Most of the technologies within the framework of the project have been developed at the level of digital modeling and ground experiments.
