The Russia-Indonesia Business Forum will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on April 14-15, 2025. The forum will be held on the sidelines of the 13th meeting of the Russian-Indonesian joint commission on trade, economic and technical cooperation. The Roscongress Foundation under the Roscongress International brand and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) will act as co-organizers. The Forum marks an important stage in the development of a trusting and open dialogue between the business circles of the two countries. The event is intended to become a platform for discussing, searching and promoting initiatives and projects aimed at strengthening Russian-Indonesian cooperation.

"The year 2025 is an important stage in the history of Russian-Indonesian relations. This year we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, and we are also welcoming Indonesia to the BRICS, which demonstrates the dynamic development of cooperation between our countries. The Russian-Indonesian business dialogue has every chance of reaching a new level. Moreover, we are on the verge of signing a free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Indonesia. In this regard, holding a Business Forum is not only relevant, but also a necessary step to deepen our broad-based cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats. I am confident that this event will open up new horizons for strengthening and deepening friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.

A wide range of issues will be discussed during the Forum.: trade and export, energy, mining, transport and logistics, digitalization and advanced technologies, agro-industrial complex, halal industry, creative industries, tourism, science and education, inter–integration dialogue between the EAEU and ASEAN, and much more.

"This year Indonesia will celebrate the 80th anniversary of independence, which was also greatly facilitated by the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the contribution of the Soviet Union to the end of World War II. Back in 1950, Indonesia's first President Sukarno laid the foundation for bilateral cooperation on the principles of strong friendship, mutual respect and trust. The Soviet Union did a lot to establish the new statehood of the young Republic of Indonesia, made an invaluable contribution to strengthening its defense capability, and helped lay the foundations of the national economy. I am convinced that the accumulated potential of Russian-Indonesian relations creates a good basis for bringing them to the level of strategic partnership in the foreseeable future," said Sergey Tolchenov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Indonesia.

The Forum will host a plenary session and industry-specific thematic discussions. An important event will be the multidisciplinary business mission of Russian companies under the auspices of the Russian Export Center.

"Indonesia is one of the promising destinations for Russian exports. It is the main economy of Southeast Asia, and the country's accession to the BRICS further strengthens its position on the world stage. Now is the time for Russian businesses to enter the Indonesian market using all available tools and opportunities. In Jakarta, companies with the support of the REC will present a wide range of products and solutions, from food to information technology," said Veronika Nikishina, CEO of the Russian Export Center.

The Forum will be attended by government, political and public figures, entrepreneurs, scientists and opinion leaders, representatives of research organizations and the media from Russia and Indonesia, as well as the EAEU and ASEAN countries.

"Trade and economic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Indonesia have been steadily developing in recent years, confirming the importance of coordinated actions in all areas of bilateral cooperation. A large-scale Russia–Indonesia Business Forum in Jakarta will be an excellent opportunity to comprehensively discuss trends and problems and outline new ways of development. Significant attention to the event from the Indonesian business community and government agencies highlights the high potential for economic cooperation between our countries. We look forward to productive negotiations and the launch of new projects in key sectors such as energy, medicine and pharmaceuticals, transport, ICT and metallurgy," said Alexander Masaltsev, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Indonesia.

Detailed information about participation in the event can be found on the Roscongress Foundation website. Participation in the Forum is free of charge. Register using the link: https://reg-forum-russia-indonesia.roscongress.org/ru/registration .
