A mother who abandoned her newborn son on a bench in the cold in Nizhny Tagil was arrested

The Leninsky District Court of Nizhny Tagil has remanded in custody a 36-year-old woman who abandoned her newborn son on a bench in the cold. The Sverdlovsk Regional Court announced this on March 14.

It is specified that the woman is charged under part 3 of art. 30, art. 106 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder of a newborn").

"The Leninsky District Court of Nizhny Tagil has granted the investigator's request to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention of A. A. Dobrynina," the Telegram channel says.

According to the Sverdlovsk court, she will be in custody until May 3 of this year.

On March 4, a child was found near one of the entrances in Nizhny Tagil, and he was taken to the hospital. A criminal case was opened on this fact. Later, on March 8, the woman was found by DNA, detained and interrogated. She explained that she had given birth to a baby and decided to get rid of him.
