- The State Duma will introduce a bill on the payment of the living wage to housewives

A bill on the introduction of the monthly subsistence minimum for housewives will be submitted to the State Duma. The initiator of the document was the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs Yaroslav Nilov.
He said on March 14 in his Telegram channel that this project was developed several years ago and had already been considered in the State Duma, but was rejected. It has now been finalized and sent to the government.
"The monthly payment to persons engaged in household management is set for six months. After this period, a citizen has the right to submit a new application for the appointment of the specified payment and submits the documents necessary for its appointment," TASS cites the text of the bill.
It is also specified that only those families whose average per capita income does not exceed the minimum subsistence level established in their region will be able to receive the allowance.
Nilov added that migrants who have obtained Russian citizenship will be able to claim these payments five years after receiving it. In addition, citizens using the special tax regime "professional income tax" will also not be able to receive benefits.
On March 10, the head of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, Sergei Leonov, said that Russians in 2025 would be able to return up to 19.5 thousand rubles as a tax deduction for medical treatment. It will be possible to apply for it only within three years at the office of the tax inspectorate or on the website of the Federal Tax Service. This will require prescriptions or an extract from a medical card, scanned receipts and a certificate of payment for services from a medical institution.
