The FSB detained a resident of Kerch on suspicion of treason


Employees of the Russian FSB directorate for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol have detained a 29-year-old resident of Kerch on suspicion of treason. This was reported on March 14 in the FSB of the Russian Federation in the region.
According to the investigation, the detainee, on the instructions of a supervisor from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense (GUR MO) of Ukraine, collected and transmitted information about the state of critical infrastructure facilities in the region. It is specified that this information was necessary for launching missile strikes.
"I received a message from a hidden number in the Telegram channel. They tell me that they are allegedly located near the borders of Crimea, and they will enter the territory soon. And I have to help them, since I am supposedly a citizen of Ukraine and received a passport," said the defendant.
According to him, he sent the curators a video recording of an oil depot in Feodosia, photos of a column of military equipment in the village of Zhuravki in the Kirovsky district and the Kirovskoye airfield, as well as the coordinates of the Crimean Bridge.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason"). He is currently in custody.
On March 10, the Southern District Military Court sentenced a resident of Sevastopol to 17 years in prison for attempting to murder a Russian military officer on behalf of the Ukrainian special services. The man was going to blow up the fighter at the entrance to the entrance using a radio-controlled improvised explosive device, but was detained by law enforcement agencies.
The court found the Sevastopol citizen guilty of treason, attempted commission of a terrorist act, as well as illegal possession of an explosive device.
