The Russian military told about the liberation of the village of Novoocheretovatoe in the DPR

Military personnel of the Vostok group of forces told about the fighting during the liberation of the village of Novoocheretovate in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) from Ukrainian nationalists. This was announced on March 14 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"The weather played into our hands, we entered unnoticed. The enemy's positions were recaptured and held for a long time until reinforcements arrived. The enemy is no longer able to control the sky, as we have come closer and have equipment, for example, electronic warfare (EW). At the moment, there is no enemy as such, but they are trying to make drops, sending drones," said the commander of the assault group with the call sign Molchun.

According to him, the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) avoid direct contact with the servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which is why they try to hold the sky with drones.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the stormtroopers carried out a sweep of buildings, basements, structures, as well as adjacent forest belts after ousting the enemy from the village. At the same time, the military repeatedly used the method of undermining enemy strongholds with the help of converted TM-62 anti-tank mines. This method made it possible to reliably disable the enemy due to a high-power explosion. The converted basements into reinforced support points could not withstand the force of the explosion.

On February 22, the Russian military from the Vostok group of forces announced the liberation of the settlements of Novoselka and Novoocheretovatoe in the DPR. According to one of the fighters, the operation took place in a distracting maneuver: the group was moving ahead, covering the landing force that was following them. On February 21, the Russian Ministry of Defense released a video of the fighting in the settlements of Novoselka and Novoocheretovatoe in the DPR in the Yuzhnodonetsky direction as a result of the active advance deep into the enemy's defenses.
