The military of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation told about the liberation of Cherkassy Porechnoye in the Kursk region

Military personnel of the 30th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the North group of forces told about the fighting during the liberation of Cherkasskoye Porechnoye, Pravda and Ivashkovsky settlements of the Kursk region. The relevant footage was published on March 14 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry noted that the military reached the enemy's rear through a gas pipe and gained a foothold in the Kubatkin farm area. Then they began assault operations to oust the enemy from the fortified area in the village of Cherkasskoye Porechnoye. In it, the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) set up their stronghold in the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The Russian military personnel of the North group of forces did not strike at it with heavy weapons. The stronghold was destroyed thanks to the competent tactical actions of the stormtroopers, who surrounded it and destroyed the enemy with small arms.

According to the military of the Russian Armed Forces, after the capture, the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants fled, leaving their positions and wounded soldiers. In the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, Russian servicemen found the bodies of elderly residents of Cherkassy Porechny killed by Ukrainian fascists. The body of a disabled man who was beaten by neo-Nazis before his death was also found in an apartment building. Thanks to coordinated actions and powerful fire, the soldiers continued their offensive, liberating the settlements of Pravda and Ivashkovsky.

"The units of the regiment were mentally prepared and had been waiting for this moment for a long time, so there was enough anger, courage, bravery and desire to win. The personnel fought heroically, so I want to thank them. I am proud to serve in this regiment and command this staff. Many thanks to them and their loved ones who are waiting for them at home," said the commander of the motorized rifle regiment with the call sign Barkas.

The military personnel of the North group of forces, with the support of artillery, aviation and calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), continue to destroy the enemy in the border area of the Kursk region, the ministry said.
