One person died as a result of a fire in a private house in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

In the city of Lyskovo, Nizhny Novgorod region, a fire broke out in a private apartment building on an area of 60 square meters, as a result of which one person died. This was reported on March 14 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

"A fire broke out in a private apartment building on Maslova Street in Lyskovo. <...> Unfortunately, the owner of the house died as a result of the fire," the press service said in a Telegram channel.

It is specified that the fire was eliminated. Due to the fire, the interior decoration of the house and outbuildings were completely destroyed. 14 specialists and five pieces of equipment worked at the site. Additional circumstances of the incident are being established.

The day before, it was reported that a fire had occurred on the territory of CHP-16 in the north-west of Moscow. This did not affect the operation of the power plant and the energy supply. It was clarified that the fire occurred on the roof of the administrative building, decommissioned for repairs.
