The meteorologist named the regions that may be affected by flooding.

Flooding during the spring floods is possible this year in several regions, Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, told Izvestia.

The meteorologist noted that the flood will be weak in the European territory of Russia. However, according to him, flooding is predicted this year in the Orenburg region on the Ural River and its tributaries, as well as in the Murmansk, Leningrad and Novgorod regions.

"Increased probability of flooding in Ufa. Outbuildings in the Kirov region may be flooded," Vilfand added.

In addition, the Samara and Sverdlovsk regions are at risk. Flooding is highly likely in the Omsk Region, Yakutia and the Trans-Baikal Territory. Low places may also be under water in the Khabarovsk Territory and in Chukotka.

According to the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, the flood will mainly develop in April.
