In Russia, they can introduce automatic temporary blocking of Russian accounts on "Gosuslugi" while changing at least two identification parameters, for example, a phone number and password. Such an initiative, among others, was contained in a package of proposals from the Popular Front for a meeting with the president, Izvestia learned.

To protect citizens whose personal accounts were allegedly accessed by fraudsters, the Popular Front has proposed two digital solutions. So, it is proposed to temporarily block the account on Gosuslugi. It will only be possible to unlock it upon a personal visit to the MFC, which will be an additional protection measure.

Another proposed method is the introduction of automatic notification of banks from the portal about the change of several identifiers, which will eliminate the risk of financial fraud.

Evgenia Lazareva, head of the NF "For Borrowers' Rights" project and coordinator of the Moshelovka platform, told the publication that these initiatives, in a general package of proposals, were prepared for a meeting held on March 5 with Russian President Vladimir Putin and submitted to his administration for inclusion in the draft instructions following the event.

"The Ministry of Finance is discussing measures to combat fraud with interested departments and organizations. In particular, we are working on the proposals of the Popular Front mentioned in the request. A number of the discussed initiatives were included in the draft law on the protection of citizens from cybercriminals. It has now been submitted to the State Duma. The details of the document are still being worked out, it can be changed by the second reading," the ministry's press service said.
