On March 14, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of a special military operation (SVO).

The ministry noted the actions of junior Sergeant Nikolai Bolotnikov, who commanded an assault group tasked with knocking out the enemy from tactically significant positions.

Bolotnikov, having studied the enemy's positions and terrain conditions in advance, determined the attack directions for the subordinate personnel. A group of junior sergeants reached the flank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in an armored vehicle without headlights at night, after which they went on the offensive. The sudden attack to the flank caught the enemy off guard. Bolotnikov was among the first to break into the trenches of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and destroy an enemy machine-gun emplacement with a grenade, while conducting a shooting battle and leading a unit.

Having occupied a given line, he organized the equipment of positions for firing weapons in the most advantageous areas of the terrain. Despite several attempts by the Ukrainian army to dislodge the Russian assault group, the junior sergeant and his subordinates held their positions until reinforcements arrived. Thanks to Bolotnikov's competent command, the group managed to complete the task.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry drew attention to the actions of Private Artyom Bocharnikov, who, acting as part of an assault group, received a combat mission to capture a stronghold in an important tactical area. He took a favorable firing position and noticed the Ukrainian Armed Forces trench, after which he secretly approached the fortified post and destroyed the militants who were in it with several grenades.

After completing the sortie, Bocharnikov returned to the previously equipped point and suppressed the AFU firing position with blows from his personal cannon. This allowed him to draw the enemy's attention to himself and enabled the Russian assault group to enter the enemy's rear. Thanks to the successful actions of the private, the Ukrainian militants retreated, leaving the wounded and dead, and the Russian assault group completed its task of capturing the stronghold without losses.
