Moscow and Washington are discussing a possible strategic course for bilateral cooperation. This was announced on March 13 by Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

"For now, we are discussing, so to speak, the general content of a possible new strategic course between the United States and Russia," Ushakov told reporters.

According to him, the United States primarily seeks to end the conflict in Ukraine and clearly defines its position on this issue.

Earlier that day, Ushakov told Izvestia that the meeting between US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steven Witkoff and Russian President Vladimir Putin would be held in a closed format on the evening of March 13.
