The Ministry of Internal Affairs warned about the sending of messages on Telegram by scammers about the death of acquaintances

Scammers send Telegram messages about the death of friends containing malicious files. This was announced on March 13 by the Department for the organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies (UBK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

"The Telegram messenger records a mailing list with messages about the death of friends. The mailing list contains APK files that initiate the installation of malicious software," the department's Telegram channel says.

The Interior Ministry also called on users to be vigilant and check incoming information.

Earlier, on March 13, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, reported that providing their accounts for use by fraudsters makes a person an accomplice to crimes. According to her, such appeals often come to underage children through chat rooms in online games.
