Trump called Putin's comments on Ukraine promising but incomplete

New statements by Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the current conflict in Ukraine are "promising, but incomplete." This was announced on March 13 by US President Donald Trump.
"Putin made a very promising statement, but it's not complete," The Guardian newspaper quoted him as saying.
The American leader reiterated that he would like to end the current conflict as soon as possible, and expressed the hope that Russia would not make a mistake in its choice.
"I hope Russia will do the right thing," the politician said.
Earlier on March 13, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko suggested that if Russia came to an agreement with the United States, then Ukraine and Europe, taken together, would have a "pipe." He noted that the fate of the entire European Union (EU) today is in the hands of Washington and Moscow, while the EU countries have behaved and are still behaving "short-sightedly."
The Russian leader said at the same time that he agreed with the proposal to end hostilities in Ukraine. However, he stressed that the cessation should be one that would lead to long-term peace and eliminate the original causes of this crisis.
On the same day, the plane of Trump's special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, arrived in Moscow. The aircraft landed at Vnukovo Airport. The motorcade, which supposedly contains Witkoff, was spotted in the capital.
Representatives of Ukraine expressed their willingness to agree to a 30-day ceasefire during talks on March 11 in Saudi Arabia. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Washington is waiting for Moscow's response on this issue.
