Moscow Fashion Week has started in Manege

The fourth Fashion Week started on March 13 at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow.

The first show featured a collection inspired by the images from The Master and Margarita, as well as the story of Marie Antoinette.

Model Maria Kharchenko called the design solutions original.

"The image is really very original. The costumes are generally different from each other," she said.

As Alexey Egorov, rector of the Moscow Art and Industrial Institute (MHPI), emphasized, it is now fashionable to focus on "old luxury."

"Everyone is looking for new footholds, good materials: Japanese velvet, German fabrics, good leather," he added.

Moscow Fashion Week began on March 13. The event will become a platform for the discovery and promotion of domestic brands, as well as one of the main engines of import substitution policy in the field of fashion in the country.
