Basurin spoke about the unexpected reaction of Americans to the flag of Novorossiya

Retired Colonel of the People's Militia of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Eduard Basurin spoke on March 13 about how residents in the United States noted the similarity of the flag of Novorossiya and the flag of the Confederates.

According to Basurin, he was very surprised when the Americans saw the flag of Novorossiya and told him: "you'll get your way."

"I didn't understand why then. They say: "And it looks very much like the flag of the confederates who fought for their independence, so we mentally support you," Basurin said in an interview with the Donetsk News Agency.

He also addressed words of support to all those who strive for freedom and independence, saying that the main thing is not to be afraid.
