The staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations took out 199 people from the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region. This was announced on March 13 by the press service of the department.
It is noted that all evacuated residents are receiving assistance. The footage released by the agency shows that people are housed in the gym of one of the institutions. There are cots with necessary bedding for them.
"Rescuers accompany citizens to temporary accommodation facilities, help with paperwork and search for relatives. <...> All work is carried out within the framework of the current legal regime of the counter—terrorism operation," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.
Psychologists of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations provide psychological assistance to the evacuees. They conduct group and individual classes and special exercises for emotional and psychological relaxation.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced the release of Suji by units of the North group of forces earlier that day. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were driven out of the settlements of Melovoy and Podol. The total losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the entire period of hostilities in the region exceeded 67.1 thousand people, 316 infantry fighting vehicles, 392 tanks, 2428 vehicles, 2196 armored personnel carriers, 549 artillery pieces and a large number of other equipment were also destroyed.
Yuri Mezinov, assistant to the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, said that about 100 residents of the border areas of the Kursk region, who were considered missing, had been found in the city of Sudzha and in nearby villages. He also clarified that 90% of the evacuees are people from the missing persons lists. Residents of the village of Kazachya Loknya in the Kursk region, liberated by the Russian military, told Izvestia about how they had to live during the occupation of the settlement by militants.
On the same day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin was determined to completely liberate the Kursk region from Ukrainian militants in the near future.
