Experts spoke about the growing demand of Russians for tax consultants

In 2025, Russians will be able to pay back more taxes, and the deduction process will become easier. However, at the same time, tax legislation is becoming more complicated: new categories of deductions are emerging, the conditions for obtaining them are changing, and control by the Federal Tax Service (FTS) is increasing. These factors have led to an increase in demand for the services of tax consultants, both among citizens and in the business community. This is evidenced by the results of the Avito Services study, which was reviewed by Izvestia on March 14.
Thus, the demand of Russians for the services of specialists in filling out the necessary documents increased by 14% in February this year compared with January. The approximate cost of such a service in Russia is 1 thousand rubles on average. Tax consultants help not only to avoid mistakes, but also to maximize the use of available benefits and deductions.
Prerequisite: filling out a tax document — a 3-personal income tax declaration. Thus, the demand for the service for calculating taxes and filling out a declaration to receive a deduction increased by more than a quarter in a month (February to January 2025) — by 27%.
The most noticeable demand for the service was registered in Stavropol (almost four times), Omsk (2.4 times), Barnaul (2.3 times), Irkutsk (2.2 times) and Krasnodar (twice).
"Since January 1, 2025, a new personal income tax deduction has been introduced for meeting the standards of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex "Be ready for Labor and Defense," which amounts to 18 thousand rubles per year. An additional condition for receiving a deduction is to undergo a medical examination in the current year. Tax deductions for children have increased since the beginning of this year. The child deduction is the amount established by law by which an individual's taxable income can be reduced. For the second child, the deduction has been doubled: instead of 1,400 rubles, 2,800 rubles per month. For the third and each subsequent child, the deduction increased from 3,000 to 6,000 rubles per month," said Elena Rostova, a tax consultant from the Avito Services platform.
You can also take a social tax deduction for training by providing certain documents. The deduction can be applied not only to your own education or to your child's education, but also to the education of the ward under your care. A prerequisite is full—time education.
A deduction can also be obtained if a brother or sister under the age of 24 is studying full-time, or a spouse. The possibilities of applying social deductions for training are expanding. There are now a huge number of licensed educational institutions that provide educational documents. Another deduction is donations to charity. The social deduction for charity is 25% of the taxpayer's total income for the year.
Social deductions can also be applied to contributions under voluntary insurance contracts and contributions to non-governmental pension funds.
Earlier, on January 16, following the results of the VTB investment forum "Russia is Calling!", Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation to legislate a tax deduction for funds spent on life insurance.
Before that, on December 4, 2024, Putin proposed to work out a mechanism for tax deduction for all family members with shared life insurance. According to the head of state, such a regulatory tool will increase the interest of potential investors in working together with the state.
