Jaguar Land Rover has applied for trademark registration in Russia. Izvestia drew attention to this by examining the open database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS; Rospatent).

The company has registered the name Jaguar Type 00. This is the name of the electric concept car, which Jaguar introduced after a scandalous image change at the end of last year.

The application was received on March 7 and was published on March 11. The applicant is Jaguar Land Rover Limited from Coventry, UK. According to the International Classification of Goods and Services (ICTS), a trademark belongs to a wide range of classes, including cars, jewelry, books, clothing, toys, perfumes and fragrances.

The Jaguar Type 00 electric concept car will become the first model of the British brand after its reboot, with its debut scheduled for the end of 2025. The concept car features a long hood, butterfly-wing doors, missing glazing of the luggage compartment door, as well as two lifting displays on the front panel.

On March 3, it became known that Kia extended the registration period for a number of trademarks in Russia. Kia Ceed and Kia Rio X have appeared in the list of registered trademarks. Applications for them were submitted to Rospatent at the end of July 2024, they were registered and published in the database on March 3, 2025.
