On March 13, the grand opening of the exhibition of the military poster "Lessons of History", dedicated to the 112th anniversary of the birth of children's writer Sergei Mikhalkov, took place in Moscow on Gogol Boulevard.

The large-scale project was prepared by the All-Russian public and State Organization "Russian Cultural Foundation" with the participation of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Russian Military Historical Society. The exhibition consists of 36 political posters created during the Great Patriotic War by famous cartoonists Boris Efimov, Mark Abramov, Vladimir Dobrovolsky in a creative alliance with the poet Sergei Mikhalkov.

Among the guests of the event were the writer's wife, 62-year-old Yulia Subbotina-Mikhalkova, top officials of the Russian Cultural Foundation, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Anna Mikhalkova, writer Yuri Polyakov and family members of cartoonists.

"The exhibition is timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Victory. Because I wanted to show something significant and something that has strong historical roots. The exhibition consists of posters made by the best cartoonists of the Soviet Union and written by Sergei Vladimirovich Mikhalkov," Yulia Subbotina-Mikhalkova said.

She said that the posters on display were created in different ways - sometimes the primary one was an illustration, in another case, poems appeared first, and an artistic image was created for them.

Earlier, on February 24, a museum was opened in Moscow at VDNH, which tells about the main events of the special military operation (SVO) to protect Donbass and how its participants live and conduct combat work. The first part of the exhibition is a large excavation, where the wreckage of drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which attacked Russian cities and army positions, and parts of military equipment that Kiev received from Washington and the European Union (EU) countries are laid out.
