- In Moscow, they talked about recruiting for the 80th Anniversary of Victory Volunteer Corps

The training of participants of the International Volunteer Corps of the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War continues in Moscow. The program includes trainings on organizing events and actions related to the anniversary, historical lectures and more, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital.
"Over 10,000 Muscovites have already applied to join the volunteer corps. In a few months, its participants have joined more than 150 patriotic events," she said.
The volunteers first take an online course. It combines blocks dedicated to the basics of volunteerism, the history and heroes of the Great Patriotic War. Then the acquired knowledge is checked and supplemented by experts in face-to-face classes. For example, students are introduced to how to properly build teamwork.
On the eve of May 9, volunteers will meet honored guests at train stations and airports, the main of whom are veterans, help them get to hotels, and accompany them to various events. In addition, Muscovites will help organize the St. George Ribbon, Victory Flowers and other actions.
"My grandparents, heroes who went through the Great Patriotic War, often talked about the morning after graduation on June 22, 1941. We must respect, know and preserve history. Participation in the upcoming celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory is a unique opportunity to communicate with the witnesses of those events," said Nikolai Kuznetsov, a volunteer of the International Volunteer Corps of the 80th Anniversary of Victory, the holder of the Moscow Volunteer award.
Citizens over the age of 14 are invited to join the corps. You can apply on the website of the All-Russian public movement "Volunteers of Victory".
