Moscow weather forecasters warn of a storm that will begin on the night of Friday, March 14. This was stated by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

"Today, from 21:00, the wind may increase to 22 m/s. Rain is possible," Sobyanin wrote on Telegram.

City services have been placed on high alert.

The mayor urged Muscovites to be careful on the street — not to hide under trees in bad weather and not to leave cars next to them.

Earlier, the Moscow headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations warned that south-westerly and westerly winds with gusts are expected to increase in Moscow at night. For safety reasons, the agency recommended parking in safe places, avoiding unstable structures and billboards, and not leaving children unattended.
