In Moscow, accidents most often occur on the Third Transport Ring, on the MKAD and Mira Avenue. This is stated in the message of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA), which is available to Izvestia.

On the updated thermal map, built according to the data of the accident photo recording as part of the online registration service of the European protocol, there is a high accident rate on the Entuziastov Highway, Leningradsky Prospekt and Varshavskoye Highway. Previously, dangerous participants concentrated on Begovaya Street, on Butyrskaya Street near the Dmitrovskaya metro station.

The service "Registration of the European protocol online" was launched in 2023. It receives data from mobile applications for registration of the European protocol and based on data packets with the coordinates of the accident site, automatically recorded using navigation technologies, and allows you to identify dangerous road sections.

As noted by the head of the RSA, Evgeny Ufimtsev, photo fixation must be done correctly, since it affects the CTP payment limit. In the absence of disagreements when issuing accident notices and photo recordings, the full CTP limit of 400 thousand rubles will be received by the injured party. If there are disagreements and the refusal of photo—fixing, the settlement of losses under the European protocol is impossible - the participants in the accident will be refused, he noted. Complete the photo fixation and transfer the photos to the RSA no later than 60 minutes after the accident, Ufimtsev emphasized.

The day before, it was reported that in January — February 2025, the number of accidents on the MKAD decreased by 34% compared to the same period last year. During the same period, the number of deaths in such accidents decreased by 40%.
