The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) will analyze the margins for 29 categories of food products, the service said on March 13.

"The service has sent relevant requests to 36 major trading platforms, as well as to two online trading platforms," the antimonopoly authority said.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia has requested data on weighted average purchase and sale prices, as well as on the volume of purchases and sales of certain food products for February 2025.

All product items from 29 food categories will be analyzed. This list includes socially important basic necessities, as well as tomatoes, cucumbers, pasta and cheeses of various types: hard, semi-hard and soft.

In case of detection of signs of unfair actions, the agency will take antitrust response measures and stop the detected violations.

On January 13, the FAS fined Alfa-Bank for improper advertising campaign with Yandex.Food. It was reported that the joint advertisement was distributed on the air of federal TV channels. The video contained information that was attractive to consumers about accruing 50% cashback when paying for an order in the Yandex service with any bank card.
