Zakharova named the number of victims of Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks among children

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on March 13 that at least 1,700 children had been killed and injured as a result of attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) since 2014.

"For 10 years, the blood of at least 1,700 children has been on the hands of Ukrainian militants, inhumans. I would like to emphasize once again that these are only approximate, preliminary figures. <...> In 2024, 347 children became victims and victims at the hands of neo—Nazis - 296 minors were injured and 51 children died — the 24th year only! The youngest girl killed by the Ukrainian Nazis was only four months old," she said at a briefing, barely able to contain her feelings.

The diplomat clarified that over the past year, the largest number of victims due to the criminal actions of militants was recorded in the Donetsk People's Republic. 127 children were injured and 11 died there. 88 children were injured and 12 died in the Belgorod region. In the Kursk region, 24 children were injured, four died, she added.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry also read out the data on the destroyed kindergartens and schools, calling this summary "a tombstone for the Kiev regime."
