Winter ice diving exercises are held in Chita

Winter diving training exercises have begun in Chita. Rescuers of Zabaikalpozhspas are practicing ice diving on Kenon Lake, according to the Telegram channel of the regional Department of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations on Thursday, March 13.
Divers train rescue skills in extreme conditions, writes ChitaMedia news agency. Diving is carried out at a depth of up to 5 m, the water temperature is +4 degrees, and the air temperature is -12 degrees.
Rescuers perform paired descents under water to search for a conditional victim and raise him to the surface. This helps to work out the prompt provision of emergency assistance in the reservoirs of the region, in particular, when cars or fishermen fall through the ice.
Earlier, Izvestia wrote how Airborne cadets are taught to fight underwater. The Ryazan Command School has been training combat divers for the special forces of the Ministry of Defense for more than 10 years.
