When there are only a few months left before the exam, even the most confident excellent students get nervous. It is mathematics that often becomes a stumbling block for graduates: someone lacks a base for previous years, someone fails on the classic "tricks" of tests, and someone simply "burns out" from overloads. On March 13, expert Anastasia Fomicheva told Izvestia how to effectively prepare for the Unified State Exam in mathematics.

First of all, the expert recommended identifying problematic topics. According to her, many graduates try to prepare chaotically, solving tasks from different sections without a clear structure. However, this approach reduces the effectiveness of training.

According to Fomicheva, it's best to start with a diagnostic test. You can take a sample exam, solve it in the allotted time, and then analyze the errors. It is important not just to mark incorrect answers, but to understand which topics cause the most difficulties. This will allow you to focus on specific aspects and avoid overloading.

Another common mistake she called the mechanical memorization of formulas. According to her, knowing the formulas without understanding their application can lead to difficulties in the exam.

"It is necessary not only to memorize formulas, but also to understand their logic. It is useful to solve problems of different levels of complexity by changing the conditions. This will help to see the interrelationships between different topics and strengthen the skills of working with the material," the expert explained.

Time management also plays an important role in preparation. It is more effective to practice for 30-40 minutes with short pauses than to try to master all the material in one evening.

During the preparation, the expert advised to pay attention not only to the analysis of errors, but also to the search for optimal solutions.

"Sometimes the same task can be solved by several methods. It is useful to analyze not only the correct answers, but also alternative ways to them. It develops mathematical thinking and helps to complete tasks faster," she added.

In addition, it is important to monitor the emotional state. Exam preparation is a lengthy process that requires proper load balancing.

"Overloads and stress can lead to the opposite effect — loss of concentration and fatigue reduce productivity. It is important to give yourself a break, build a clear lesson plan and do not forget about the encouragement for achievements. The more confident a student feels, the higher his chances of successfully passing the exam," concluded Fomicheva.

Earlier, on February 18, expert Ekaterina Bolotova talked about how to start planning your career back in 11th grade. According to her, schoolchildren who like to participate in reading contests, design workshops or music festivals are likely to have a penchant for creative professions related to public speaking.
